Reading Buddy Programs
Recently, a family member living in Middletown, Ohio, reached out to me with a kind and greatly appreciated story. Justin Leiwig, my cousin shared a photo and a journal entry that his son Jacob had created following a "Reading Buddy Activity" that took place during school hours at Jacob's place of learning. "Reading Buddy Programs" are such valuable activities that often times facilitate extended learning. Jacob chose one of my books, "Hearts Always Open" to read with his

You turned hope into happiness and made Christmas dreams com

The Season of Advent
The season of Advent calls us to prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord. The Advent wreath, present in churches, places of worship, and present in the homes of families symbolizes the virtues of Hope, Peace, Joy, and of Love. These beautiful virtues strengthen our faith and unite us as a community. The month of December that is devoted to many preparations and celebrations works hand in hand with the virtues of Advent. Our times spent in our places of worship offer
