meet glenna

With over three decades of writing experience and dedication to intergenerational activities, Glenna has a unique voice that is emodied in each of her books. 

 

Her love and passion for those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country particularly shines in her latest book, "Remembering with the Heart, Stories by America's Finest". 

 

Glenna spent many years as board member for Reading Is Fundamental of Northern Virginia.  Glenna has also been supporting/volunteering with the Tragedy Assistance program for Survivors (TAPS) for twelve years. The children attending the Good Grief Camps at the seven TAPS National Seminars held throughout The United States of America are the recipients of the books that Glenna has written. During her time affiliated with TAPS, Glenna has also facilitated workshops that address the subject of "Grandparents Raising Their Grandchildren" at the annual TAPS National Seminar, Arlington, Virginia.

In 2020, Toys for Tots invited Glenna to become one of their authors that supports the Toys for Tots Literacy Program.  This valuable initiative that provides books to families is a fun way to enrich the lives of children of all ages.  TOTS and Glenna collaborate to serve "Our Youngest Warriors" that attend the Tragedy Assistance Program For Survivors.

 

Currently, Glenna spends time in both Washington DC with her fellow book clubs members and in North Carolina enjoying the fresh mountain air with her husband, Bob, grandson, Charlie, and two dogs, Mila and Bolt.
