Victor Emmanuel II Monument
Our recent adventure to Rome, Italy brought myself and grandson Charlie to the Victor Emmanuel II Monument. Being a part of the TAPS, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors Program and traveling alongside colleagues and friends of TAPS was a very remarkable time. Bonnie Carroll, Founder and President of TAPS, led our second day in Rome, as she has kindly facilitated a professional partnership with the Italian Government on behalf of their Armed Forces. One of the first stops in Rome, Italy with Bonnie and our TAPS Family members, was the Victor Emmanuel II Monument. The entire day was spent touring this beautiful structure and spending time with the Italian Families who have experienced the loss of a family member, colleague, or friend that served in the Italian Armed Forces. Personal stories were spoken all the while, as we shared a welcoming and lovely meal together. Truly a memorable day!
