Rest in peace, Ray
Today marks exactly one month since the passing of my dear friend, Ray Frey. Over the years, I was blessed to spend so much meaningful time with Ray and his family, and his loss is deeply felt. Ray was truly one of a kind—an Air Force veteran, a gifted plantsman known far and wide for his daylilies, and a man whose humor and generosity touched everyone around him. I was profoundly honored to share his story in Chapter 3 of my new book, Hope In Our Hearts..., in a chapter titled "The Horticulturist". Ray so loved being recognized in the book, and knowing his story is out there for others to read brings immense comfort. In the October 15, 2026 edition of the Clay County Progress, a beautiful front-page tribute honored Ray's lasting legacy and included a wonderful mention of his chapter in Hope In Our Hearts... Please take a moment to read the article below and remember a remarkable life well-lived. Rest in peace, Ray.
