Special Olympics North Carolina Equestrian Tournament
The Special Olympics North Carolina Equestrian Tournament, held September 25-27, at Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina, brought about some very special moments for the riders and their staunch supporters. "High Lonesome Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Murphy, North Carolina," competed in this incredible tournament, and to know first-hand how excited they were to be attending, was something special. My recent book, "Hope In Our Hearts, Stories of Family, Friendship, Community, History, and Nature" showcases a beautiful chapter about High Lonsome and it's devoted Founder and Director, Lauren Dilts. Esther, that you see in the video, is featured in "Hope In Our Hearts..." So very grateful to have partnered with the "High Lonsome Therapeutic Equestrian Center" and to know them as friends.
