Veterans Day at the AFRH

On behalf of Veterans Day, November 11, 2025, I had the honor of spending the day with my long-time friends who reside at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington D.C.  For years, I have volunteered at the Home, and had the privilege of writing about their extraordinary lives.  In keeping with their love of reading and enjoying tasty treats, my delivering gift bags with some of their favorite things was welcomed with open arms.  On Tuesday, I was fortunate to meet the very talented artists of "Splashes of Hope," who recently completed a mural depicting some of the residents and sites of the AFRH.  Iam looking forward to spending time and volunteering with my long-time friends at the Home.  Above all...I honor you with great appreciation for your service and for your sacrifices! ❤️🇺🇸
