Shining the spotlight on Catherine Guthrie

Shine the spotlight on Catherine Guthrie, for her dedication to making such an extraordinary impact on the children and their families of Cora Kelly School for Math, Science, and Technology, Alexandria City Public Schools.

I met Catherine several years ago while she was an intern, and completing her studies to become a librarian. Once Catherine was hired as the librarian for Cora Kelly Elementary School, she immediately began reaching out on behalf of her school community to partner with Reading Is Fundamental of Northern Virginia. Mission accomplished, and Catherine's students can now select books at no cost to them, and keep their books for their very own library.

It's a privilege to know Catherine Guthrie, and to shine a light on her tireless efforts to support the needs of the Cora Kelly Elementary School Community!
