Merry Christmas from New Orleans

Updated: Jan 16, 2024

Our first day spent in New Orleans was a time of celebration and gratitude of being together. The evening jazz cruise along the Mississippi on the Steamboat Natchez Paddle Wheel Boat was a unique surprise and one that grandson Charlie, Bob, and myself truly enjoyed! Honoring History, Heroes, and Heartfelt Hospitality is the mantra of the Higgins Hotel and Conference Centers. This facility reflects the contributions of the extraordinary entrepreneur, Andrew Higgins, who designed and built over 20,000 boats in New Orleans that were used from water to land assault of World War II. Owned by the National World War II Museum, the Higgins Hotel pays homage to tradition-the American experience that changed the world. We are so grateful to be spending our time together at the Higgins Hotel and so looking forward to learning from our time spent at the National World War II Museum.
