July 14, 2021 at Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, DC

In celebration of Bastille Day, French National Day, our very own John Baker, (Ret. Airforce) surprised us with singing the French National Anthem-John's mastery of the French language is magnificent! Our book club at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C. just completed the book, "A Woman of No Importance," by Sonia Purnell, a WWII presentation that mostly takes place in France. Our next read, "Clementine, The Life of Mrs. Winston Churchill," also written by Sonia Purnell will certainly become another favorite of our book club. I love my friends, these wonderful men and women residing at the Armed Forces Retirement Home who have served their country during WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War
