Holidays at the AFRH

The Holiday Season at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington D.C. has been a favorite time for me for some years now. The halls are decked and the familiar Toys for Tots donation boxes are placed throughout the Home. This Wednesday as our Book Club enjoyed sharing lively conversations and thought provoking discussions about the book we are currently reading, "A Blueprint for War: FDR and the Hundred Days That Mobilized America," written by Susan Dunn, I was reminded just how fortunate I am to be in the company of such wonderful and goodly individuals. Our Book Club is looking forward to a New Year that will introduce us to many books and many more of those lively conversations and thought provoking discussions!
