Saint Mary of the Woods College, my Alma Mater, the oldest Catholic Women's College in our country, inspired me to fulfill my hopes and dreams of becoming a teacher. The Sisters of Providence who founded "The Wood's" and continue to live their mantra, "Breaking Boundaries and Creating Hope," instilled those same beliefs in me. As I continued my roles in education, earned advanced degrees, and continued on to write children's books, I continually reflected on the foundation that Saint Mary's put in place for me. It was an honor on several occasions to share and sign my beloved books at Saint Mary of the Woods College, and recently I sent several of my newer titles to SMWC President, Dotti King. Glad to know that my writings are sitting in the very place that inspired me on this life-long journey.
