AFRH Book Club

Reading is our passion and learning from one another is the mantra of our Book Club at The Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C. Once we completed author, Lynne Chenney's book, "The Virginia Dynasty," and "A Long Petal Of The Sea," written by Isabel Allende, we have begun to read, Adam Higginbotham's phenomenal presentation of the world's greatest nuclear disaster, "Midnight In Chernobal." This timely nonfiction well researched book, will bring many interesting conversations to the table at our weekly Book Club meetings. How fortunate am I to be surrounded by such well read, scholarly, wise, and fun loving persons?
