The Learning Center - Murphy, NC

The Learning Center Charter School welcomed me with open arms on Thursday February 17, 2022, to share my books, "Hearts Always Open," "Courage From The Heart," and "Remembering With The Heart, Stories by America's Finest," with grades Kindergarten thru Fourth Grade. This school campus of "Naturally Grown Kids," located in Murphy, North Carolina, is built upon the idea that young learners need to be exposed to a broad array of rich learning experiences. My visit with each of these individual grade levels, resonated with The Learning Center's philosophy and I was delighted to spend the time with these wonderful children, their teachers, and their administrators. Toys for Tots Foundation afforded each of these students in Grades Kindergarten thru Fourth, to select one of my books for their very own. For me personally, it is an honor to be working alongside the illustrious Toys for Tots as one of their authors, and to be promoting life long learning and the love of reading with schools such as The Learning Center Charter School.
