Fall Fun Fest At The Armed Forces Retirement Home-Washington, D.C.

Carnival games, a pumpkin patch, bake sales, food trucks, and children story readings all added up to give families and friends of The Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C. a day of great activities on Sunday, October 2nd. The annual Fall Fun Fest at AFRH, Washington, D.C. was enjoyed by many and myself included.

I was invited by the "Friends of the Soldier's Home" to share my books and to host "Story Readings for Children." All during the day of activities at the Fall Fun Fest, I met wonderful children and their families and so enjoyed their conversations. Please take a few moments to take a look at some photos from this event (see more at our Flickr Page). My grandson, Charlie was able to spend the day with me and he enjoyed all that the Fun Fest had to offer.

Most grateful,

Glenna C. Orr
