Cheesecake, Chocolates, A Cup of Joe, A Good Book, and Wonderful Friends!

My dear friends who reside at The Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C. campus, and myself enjoyed delicious desserts and a joyful reunion this past Wednesday January the 9th.

After a four week pause, Glenna's Book Club resumed its weekly meetings to discuss our current read "Nothing Like It In The World, The Men Who Built The Transcontinental Railroad 1863-1869" written by Stephen E. Ambrose.  Our group of "reader-readers" is presently enjoying this book every bit as much as we did "Undaunted Courage, The Lewis And Clark Expedition" also written by the esteemed author Stephen E. Ambrose.

Each and every Wednesday as I travel to The Armed Forces Home to read and discuss incredible works of literature with America's Finest, I am reminded how fortunate that I truly am to be spending several hours learning, listening, and engaging in lively and heartfelt conversations with my very special friends!

Most grateful,

Glenna (Reading Specialist & Director of The Kind KidsOrganization)
