Launching our tour of the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii began at dawn and ended at dusk. A day of beauty and unforgettable history lessons for certain! Mount Vesuvious destroyed Pompeii in 79 AD. The systematic excavation of Pompeii began in 1748, and has continued since. Enjoy the photos from our last excursion of our October 2026 Eastern Mediterranean Adventure!
