• In May, attended and presented at the 22nd Annual TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar & Good Grief Camp, in Washington, D.C.
  • In July, our Fifth Book, "Courage From The Heart Book," received The Mom's Choice Award​ in Juvenile Books, Non-Fiction - Ages 9-12
  • In July, Glenna renewed her Post Graduate Professional Teaching License for another five years
  • In September, presented to the residents of The Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C. and shared our Fifth Book, "Courage From The Heart"
  • During the year, Glenna continued to volunteer and help teach Confirmation Classes at her church, Saint Rita of Cascia Catholic Church, Alexandria, Virginia
  • During the year, Glenna continued to fulfill her responsibilities and commitments as a Board Member and Area Chair for Reading is Fundamental of Northern Virginia
  • During the year, helped establish and joined the "Reading Buddies" Intergenerational Program in Washington, D.C. for The Armed Forces Home and The Creative Minds International Public Charter School
  • During the year, made numerous appearances for Book Signings to promote The Kind Kids Mission of Literacy and Volunteerism
  • During the year, made multiple donations of our books in places where they can truly enrich the lives of individuals and help bring communities together​

We try to make a difference whenever and wherever we go.  In return, we are rewarded in a way that demonstrates to us that what we do is needed! As a result of our efforts in 2016:

Whenever the need arises to promote learning, The Kind Kids Organization is willing to be present, supportive, and committed to enriching the lives of individuals of all ages   The young, the not so young, families, communities, and organizations are those that we serve for multiple reasons and in a variety of venues.  The Kind Kids Organization, established in 2006, is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that instills volunteerism in community activities and promotes literacy for people of all ages.  For over thirty-five years, we have been a facilitator of Volunteer Intergenerational Programs of inspiring activities...
